What makes my dragon fish jump out of his tank

found my dragon fish pete on the outside of his tank why did he do that

Nature...instinct.....some fish are jumpers, that happens to be one of them.

You need to get some kind of cover for your tank. That will prevent any other fish from jumping out.

Lots of fish like to jump.  They don't know that it means landing on the floor.  You need to have a hood on your tank.
