What makes ones eyes "pretty".....?

Question

I get this all the time (well, not in real life, but on like myspace and stuff), but apparently I have cute eyes. I really don't know how to judge ones eyes as being pretty, I was just wondering if this is something that can be judged or if everyone is just saying this because I'm ugly and they don't want to hurt my feelings

usually make up (most of the time for girls)

and blue, green, and unusual colored eyes get complimented.

yours are like amber! which is nice. :)
