  1. No the structure of plastic is made to resist chemicals


  2. because it takes over 2,000 years to decompose.

  3. It would be nice if we would do 100% plastic recycleing. We could do this but there is one problem. Living in a capitallistic country recycleing means loss of sales and you know that isen't going to happen.

  4. They are generally made from petroleum which yields tons of hazardous by-products.  There is a train of thought that the plastic also leaches into teh food/ water it stores and can be harmful and/or carcinogenic.
