What makes some people feel they're better than others?

I'm in high school, and some of the most 'popular', judgemental kids I notice have nothing that special... sure, some are richer than most, and some are very attractive, but a majority of them are less than hot and not smart or anything

So I'm just wondering, from your experience or evidence or anything, what makes some people feel they are superior when there's nothing to back that up....?

people who don't feel so great always need others to validate them so other people are probably giving them that sense of superiority.

Don't worry high school doesn't last and you will probably end up being their boss

They don't really think that they're better, they're afraid that they are not as good.

Their parents have made them that way.

Usually it is insecurity, so just ignore it and define yourself by your own standards, not theres.
