  1. It can be on any odd nights in the last 10 days of Ramadan, but yes, people seem to only focus on the 27th of Ramadan.

I am really not sure, but I think I may have read a Hadith about Laylah Al-Qadr and its relevance with the 27th night of Ramadan. I am not sure if that Hadith is Sahih or Hasan or Daif or Maudhu' so don't take my word yet. Let me check first.

  2. No one really knows.  It is most likely during an odd night during the last 10 days of ramadan......from hadith.

The 27th again comes from hadith.   Its like the most likely of the most likely days.

  3. :)  Jazakallah for bringing a smile to my face.  It seems Islam Ahmadiyyat is always on your mind.

Rest assured I had no intention of answering this question, mainly because I don't know the answer (self admitted), nor do I believe there is a hard fast rule that it Must be on the 27th.

    Allah bless you brother.

    EDIT:

@Asker - Sorry it bothered you brother, that people thumbed me up.  My apologies.  May Allah recompanse you.

I like your question, however, so I hope it's ok that I starred it.  Allah bless you.

  4. This is why some seperate 27th of Ramadaan...

SahihalBukhari (The Book of the Night Prayer) No. 1091  - Narrated Nafi:  Ibn 'Umar said, "In the life-time of the Prophet I dreamt that a piece of silk cloth was in my hand and it flew with me to whichever part of Paradise I wanted. I also saw as if two persons (i.e. angels) came to me and wanted to take me to h**l. Then an angel met us and told me not to be afraid. He then told them to leave me. Hafsa narrated one of my dreams to the Prophet and the Prophet said, "Abdullah is a good man. Would that he offer the night prayer (Tahajjud)!" So after that day 'Abdullah (bin 'Umar) started offering Tahajjud. The companions of the Prophet (SallAllaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam) used to tell him their dreams that (laila-tul-Qadr) was on the 27th of the month of Ramadan. The Prophet said, "I see that your dreams agree on the last ten nights of Ramadan and so whoever is in search of it should seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

SahihMuslim No. 1668 (The Book of Prayer) Zirr (b. Hubaish) reported: I heard from Ubayy b. Ka'b a statement made by 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud in which he said: He who gets up for prayer (every night) during the year will hit upon lailat-ul-Qadr. Ubayy said: By Allaah I there is none worthy of worship (in truth) but He, that (lailat-ul-Qadr) is in Ramadhan (He swore without reservation: ) By Allaah, I know the night; it is the night on which the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) commanded us to pray. It is that which precedes the morning of twenty-seventy and its indication is that the sun rises bright on that day without rays.

  5. no one knows  about lailatul qadar except that it is in the odd nights in last ten days of ramadan.

there r many hadith which can be given in the proof of this .

About Qadyanis ! Actually people dont even know what qadyanis r and what r their believs . need some education .

  6. I presume nobody is sure---Laylah al Qadr is known by Allah (SWT) and He alone!

  7. I heard it was on the 26th of Ramadan. But no one knows the actual day, only Allah. The only thing we do know is that it's one of the last ten days of Ramadan, so treat each day like it's laylat al-qader.

  8. Well, in fact there is a hadith (dunno authentic or not), which mentions that Muhammad (P.B.U.H) had a dream in Ramadan that He (P.B.U.H) was praying on the Laylat ul Qaqr. He prostrated (performed sujud), and when He (P.B.U.H) raised His head from it, His forehead was covered with wet mud.

He (P.B.U.H) informed the companions. When they prayed with Him on the night of the 27th Ramadan, they observed His forehead covered with wet mud when He (P.B.U.H) arose from His sujud. So many surmised that it was the night of the Laylat ul Qadr.

However, I am not v. sure of it. Allah knows best. He didn't inform us as to the exact date, so we can't be ever sure. But the 25th and 27th nights are considered by the scholars as highly probable.

As for the Qadyanis, yeah, they can't be trusted with info. God only knows how they make a simple thing complicated, running it through a h**l of a roller coaster! It's not that people always think of them, but they always enter my mind when I open Y/A, and see a question or answer by a Qadyani. Mirza made such amusing statements. Why, the Qadyanis are my favourite Y/A users, to be sure. I wouldn't know what I would do if they all left Y/A one day!
