  1. It's the tannin in ur tea x

  2. its lime residue in the water. in hard water areas its awful and leaves a residue on or in everything., you get in ur kettle, washing machine on your taps, (it makes your shower shoot in silly directions) it ruins everything! you can filter the water with a water filter like brita...makes the tea so much better......especially if you take it without milk. oh, and some teas are ment to be drunk without milk...lemon is good, in england we are obsessed with milk for some reason.....

and, its not the oils, cos i filter my water usually and never get the film on top any nore...but i do if i use tap water

  3. the bits of tea grain

  4. I was always told it was the tannin in the tea!

  5. Yukk! Milk IN Tea? Who does that?

  6. It's the OILS in the tea coming to the surface.

  7. This is caused by the lime in hard water. In the north of England-ie-Manchester ,the water is soft,so you don,t get it,but down south in the London area it is bad ,as the water is hard

  8. lime scale stuff i think, like the c**p in ur kettle

  9. try not using so much washing up liquid when cleaning your cup and rinse the cup well after washing and do not use a tea-towel to dry the cup, with a CLEAN cup you will not get a scummy film
