  1. It is a lot more beefier. It has a excessive stiping around the grips, The cheek piece is fully adjustable, and it has a pistol grip style hold to it. The fact that it is as beefed up as it is makes for a more steady shot.

I have shot with some stocks where I could almost put my hand the whole way around them and have my fingers touch my palm. They are a lot more better but if someone were to give me a A1 stock I would gladly accept.

  2. The A-3 is a modified lightweight version of our popular A-2 stock. It is the most widely used field sniper stock available. It is available with or without an integral adjustable cheekpiece. The forend is .312 inch shallower from top to bottom to provide a more stable platform while shooting off sand bags or a pedestal. The stock is also filled slightly larger than the A-2 but retains all the features that make the A-2 such an excellent tactical stock. The A-3 is made primarily for Remington and Winchester actions and it will take barrels up to 1.350 inches in diameter. Available in right and left hand. This was taken from the McMillan website. They say it best.
