What makes the new Speedo suit for swimmers so great?

Okay for the last two nights I've watched the Olympic trials in swimming on the USA Network. Last night, for the first time, I really took notice of the suits the guys and girls were wearing. I don't see anything extra-ordinary about these new suits Speedo has made. They can't be ALL that fabulous if one of the guys last night broke a World Record and all he was wearing was the pants-like swim suit; nothing covering his chest.

there is much less resistance and he can move more freeley.. the water doesnt get caught at waistline.. DRAIG! key word there... :)

If i had one id be soooo happy... but they dont work for everyone i guess.

The new suit comes in different cuts -including jammers.  When I watched Sunday night, Michael Phelps broke a world record in the full leg LZR suit.   Part of what makes the suit so good is the support it provides to the muscles worked in swimming and the aerodynamics for the swimmer reducing drag as much as possible at this time.  Records are being broken all over the place with swimmers in these new suits.  For the Olympics, I'll be surprised if we see someone win without one of these new suits.

its called the lazer

and what makesit so great and also gives it itsname,

is that it has no seams.

they lazered the seams together to makes them go away

and it doesent matter if guys wear something across thier chest unless they didnt shave there

NASA had some part in making it. It is not sewn together it is lazered so the name fits it.

Well, suposedly, the new swimsuit minimizes skin movement which creates drag. With less drag, you can swim faster. Since the suit is skin tight, the skin can't move, which means no skin movement realated drag.

If you're still a really good swimmer, you can beat the world record without having one of the new suits on.
