What makes the "Dollar" weak?

There is not enough gold in our reserves to back up our dollar anymore.  The government continues to print off more money which makes it even weaker.  They keep track of how much has been printed, but do not take into account of how much has been destroyed by fires, etc..how could they, there's no way to do that yet.  If they knew how much money was actually still in circulation, they could more accurately define the USD worth.  Also, the country is severely in debt, which doesn't help the situation.  I've listed a website that may help.

Printing too much money makes it weaken.
