How are all the Craftsman truck races so close?

They always seem to have close finishes and the trucks seem to not get spread out so much...is there any reasons why?

Truck series always seems to have the best finishes

  1. IDK.

seems like in every series, though, there is one constant.

    Kyle Busch wrecking his competitors.

  2. I think today's truck race was so close because of the "tapered spacer" (restrictor) plates on the motors. The trucks are down on horsepower, so the leader couldn't pull away and the second place truck stayed right with the leader because of the draft.

  3. Those guys are allowed to race and they do. It's tradin paint at it's finest. We go to the truck race every year in Mansfield. They are great to watch and they fly! They do have the best finishes. I agree it would be great to see the Cup races end that way too.  Peace n Smiles :)

  4. It's because the big money teams are not involved in it to throw money around and make 3 cars dominant. Roush is in there but only with two trucks driven by rookies. Last year though the truck races weren't that great for the most part, it was the Skinner, Bodine, and Hornaday show. This year there are more drivers in the mix.

  5. Sorry that I don't know the answer.  All I know is that I wish all NASCAR finishes were as exciting as that one was!  Congrats to Darnell, he did an awesome job.  JB gave it all he had and seemed pretty happy with 2nd.  Always did like Johnny - classy guy.

  6. I believe it is just how compititive the sport is. Many young guys trying to get a break into the pros, some maybe not.

And because not just one team is dominating, you see many different drivers go to victory lane, in that series. Unlike Nascar if you have the best team your going to dominate. In CTS I believe everyone is equal.

  7. I love truck races they are so awesome, the races are a lot shorter also, these boys race, at the finish heck I could hardly tell who won...The truck series doesn't have the huge mega bucks involved as Sprint Cup does.. These have equipment they can race.. With these races only being 200-300 miles they don't have as along to follow the leader around all day, its like the commerical says these boys don't play nice....To bad we do not see this in Sprint Cup any more, thanks to COT..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  8. Get rid of the COT (Checker Cab with a wing)....we'll see finishes we used to see.

  9. They're usually on smaller tracks, so everything seems a lot closer
