What makes these people do what they do?

Today I been at my friend's neighborhood like always. we chill at his house, we swim, and we spar (2 of my friends are gonna start taking hapkido) well, after sparring we were just laying down and enjoying the view of the park until some stoners came to the playground and sat on a table and started smoking. We did not know any of them although one of them looked pretty familiar from school. One of them called out my friends name and we don't even know him... he was staring straight as us. So as we were leaving the park, some hispanic who was with them screeched "Get the **** out of our park". We didn't eye contact or anything, just walked as if nothing happened...

I was pretty annoyed by this, what is this world coming to? Why do people do this stuff? There are many random people who come and try to start stuff for no reason... we don't even look intimidating... Happened to me a couple times and being almost 1 year of martial arts i can sometimes control myself. This worlds trashed

A great martial artists is not measured by the number of wins or losses in a fight but rather by the number of fights not participated in.

I don't blame anyone or anything for what happened at the park with you and your friend.  People are responsible for their own actions ....period.

I think the key word here was "Stoners" and basically you d**n near answered your own question.  Drugs man....drugs, but there's good news though.....drugs thin out the food chain dude.  Eventually these kids that were testing your mettle will end up in some jail some where with the rest of the bottom of the food chain man.

I say not less drugs, but more drugs so we, as a society, can weed out the weak stoners out there too stupid to think straight let alone act like they have any since at all.

So makes these people do what they do?.....choice and freedom....the freedom to be nothings and the choices to do nothing.  You gotta love Nothings.

The reason people act like this is because our government and parents are not taking responsibility

It is this crazy acceptance bahavior,

Whether it is accepting g*y marriages,

or accepting rude behavior,

yes, the world Is coming to an end if you hadn't noticed,

Teens trying so hard to be something there not

Ruining their lives due to smoking

and the only way out is Martial arts which also protects you

which Is why I learned it

I was beaten up on a city bus for absolutely no reason.

Which is why I learned it, to stop this things

The only thing we can do Is hold our heads high and avoide these things

7th grade for me might be tough

But I've learned to control My anger (really bad anger problem)

with these idiots who think they are "Masters"

It's because they're lower class trashy people who are ****** in the head basically, and they have no respect for anyone but themselves and they think they're all 'big' by trying to intimidate other people in society. They obviously think they 'Own' the park. pretty lame, they really need to get a life.

People get angry! If their Mad then their not happy. They live lives of doubt and no self respect! Don't go to jail for hurting someone. There the ones who end up divorced, always in trouble, and watching there own kids beating them up.

Yea this used 2 happen at school. You said you don't look intimidating? That's why they do it. Frankly they are just ****** up punks who don't have a life and nothing else to do and they wanna look tough in front of their same category 'friends'. They are in no way tough at all. The thing that gets you THE MOST respect is to just walk away. Sure, you could plant every single 1 on the pavement but that gets you in even more troble than them (trust me, I know) so the best thing to do is to walk away. If one runs up and starts shoving you break the dickheads wrist. You said you know hapkido? I do 2 and its effective as anything. Also you can't get in trouble from the cops from it because its 'self defence'. Just walk away and only use that when you think they are gonna hurt you.

Why didnt you acknowledge them when they called out your friends name? Obviously they knew you guys - perhaps they felt disrespected.
