I only have issues with it when it's pulling dirty tricks like digitally manipulating 18-year-old actors and actresses to appear younger, in essence making child pornography legal via loopholes.

I also have some problems with the violent brands of it (fake snuff films, etc.)

Aside from that, as long as the participants are consenting adults and their rights are being protected (no coercion to work condom-free, etc.), I'm not terribly bothered by it.

Because the idea of a woman catering herself to s*x-hungry men in return for money is belittling to women in general, and many people take the learned generalization and apply it to all women... and that goes against the entire idea of feminism.

First of all this is a huge generalization.

Not all women have anger towards the adult film industry, and not all women have anger towards the whole adult film industry.

That's all I have to say about that.

I think a lot of it is jealousy if there boyfriends or husbands watch it. I watch it with my bf, so no problem here.

and I think it has to do with how some women are raised as children. If you brought up to be open to people expressing themselves, your more likely going to except it more. But if you are brought up very sheltered then you may not except it as well.

there is a huge potential for exploitation in the adult film world and it is perceived that it is the women who are most at risk.

The industry is rife with exploitative power/money hungry individuals who are filming people doing stuff that their mother wouldn't want to see.

Just that and that alone can wreck lives, quite aside from the drugs that are passed around and that go hand in hand with living in the world of pornography.

I met a male (g*y) p**n star last week and chatted casually with him for a couple of hours.

I wasn't convinced of his motives and I am quite sure he is being manipulated.

If we can say that there are perils in the world of prostitution then the same can be said of a life in pornorgraphy.

i have been watching p**n since 16. i love it and when i met my husband at 18 we both watch it and we watch it alone.

i have no insecurities about my body, issues with being ashamed about my sexuality or insecure about my relationship so i love it. Girls who dont have this hate it like the sad guys who think vibrators are a 'threat' lol

No anger here- to each his own. I would say that the women who are angry about the adult film industry probably have low self esteem and it makes them feel badly when someone is "prettier" than them.
