  1. i guess u just have to luv it alot i preffer  football american football i mean  excuse my mexican ist lol

  2. Die hard passionate fans of the game just simply understand. They understand and respect how hard the game really is. They respect players that can hit the ball over 400 feet. They respect players that can throw over 95 mph. Most people who aren't into the game dont respect that. They think that anyone can go up to the plate and take 90+mph fastballs and hit a homerun their first AB.  Why do you think Michael Jordan was a GREAT basketball player and a LOWSY baseball player?

We [passionate die hard fans] understand how difficult it really is. And when we see people who are able to hit it 400 feet, it just amazes us.  I love baseball because it's just simply fun to watch. It's fun to watch the rivalries, the GREAT pitching, the GREAT hitting, the trades and effectiveness of the trades. Baseball is just great.

  3. b-r and hot dods

  4. what doesnt?

  5. Well, I play it, so I know the game is fun.  Also, I love the competitive edge to it.  There are rivalries, everything, its just a sort of game that I love =)

  6. you and me and other passionate fans i guess just understand. We get it. :)

we get how great of a game baseball is, how beautiful baseball parks/fields are, how intense games can become, how frustrating it is to see when good players don't get enough love and how tough it is to lose when you got that far.

i love the history and to put it simply i just love watching good ball players play. :)

  7. I spent an hour listing all the different reasons that I love baseball but this is the one reason that tops all.

I'm 28, about 5 years ago I was at my cousin's baptism party. We were outside and my uncle's dog was running around with a rubber ball in his mouth. He would drop it at someone's feet in the hopes that they would throw it and he could catch it. So the dog drops the ball at my feet and I whiz it across the backyard and it hits my dad's foot inside the food tent. He picks up the ball and whizzes it back at me. I catch it and throw it back at him. My mom yells at us for throwing the ball around the food tent, then my dad gives me the old pop up sign and I take off running and make the catch and he moved away from the food tent and we had a game of catch with a rubber ball and a boxer that thought we were eventually going to throw the ball to it running back and forth between us. That's why I'm so into baseball.

  8. Softball may not be baseball but what this says can be the case in baseball.  I absolutely love softball weather it be after school games that you're out til 10 o'clock or weather it's a tournament that you have a double-header you play that is separated by another game, the fact that I love the smell of fresh cut grass, the newly drug dirt, the waking up at 5 in the morning and going through a drive through just to get to the game at 6 or 7 depending on how far away the game is, and warming up for an hour before the game and you're already sweating. I LOVE to play softball! Don't get me wrong I love to watch it to but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SOFTBALL!!!!!!!

  9. Both of my Sons played; my youngest (24) still does play in the county co-ed softball league, and is the Captain of his team.

Watching baseball games on TV with my Sons, when they were little. Getting dressed in our favorite team's colors, face painting, cheering and pop-corn popping, quality time spent together, having fun sharing a fun interest.

Later, watching them from the fence-line, and the seats, cheering, yelling at blind Umps, watching them hit the ball out of the park, or sliding eight feet to catch that impossible fly ball; telling them it's okay, that nobody's perfect, when they struck out or was tagged out, or had a pop-fly out, back when *they* were the players on the field.

It wasn't easy finding something a single working Mom, and her male children could truly enjoy together. A wholesome sport gave me a way to bond with my boys, who didn't have a father to do those things with.

My oldest, Tommy Lee, is now a Marine in the Army, an Iraqi Vet many times over; and he is my hero!

I am forever the #1 Fan at my youngest son, Sam Allyn's, ballgames every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday that there is a game; and he is my hero!

Bottom line: It's a family sport, and I am passionate about my family... I am not alone.

  10. idk i think its a mixture of everything its pretty hard to explain, its just a love for the game

  11. Money. I bet on sports.

  12. just appreciating all the history of the sport/teams and how dedicated and talented all the players are....  Rooting for your team through thick and thin...  No matter what, not giving up on your team....  You could be behind in the World Series 3 games to none, and bottom of the 9th in the 4th game, down 10 runs, 2 outs, and guess what??? You'll probably lose, but deep down inside your holding onto that hope that they'll score those 10 runs and keep the game going....  I guess it's like an adrenaline rush....  Never over until it's over...  Also following all your faveorite players stats and watching when they hit a HR, etc....

  15. The fact we love and comprehend baseball. that we love to learn something new about the History of our teams, we appreciate everything the team the , stadium . That we see our teams when they are going good and are going bad

  16. Being a White Sox fan is about Manic Depression, Paranoia, and having an Inferiority Complex.  In other words I am crazy, completely crazy.

The ups and downs of the season, Ozzie, Kenny Williams, The White Sox players, and other White Sox fans all drive you batty.  It is one of the greatest experiences you can have.

  17. EVERYTHING. The game, the players, the ball park, the intense games, atmosphere. EVERYTHING! Baseball is the best sport out there! =] It's so fun to relax and come to a nice ball game and watch your favorite team. It really makes my day, especially if your team wins! Everything makes me passionate. It's just so exciting to come to the ball park, especially your very first game! It's always fun to even watch the game on tv! =]
