I am a restaurant manager in need of some help from the general public. I want to know what makes you eat out for lunch? where do you eat if you have an hour or less? what kind of food do you prefer? and what is your feeling on lunching at fine dining places? HELP!

  1. I go out to lunch once a week to treat myself. I usually will head out to one of two chain restaurants Applebee's or Ruby Tuesdays because I can get in and out in about an hour and the price. (They both offer special lunches for the budget conscious)  I have whatever tempts me that day, anything from the salad bar & soup @ Ruby Tuesdays (great!) to a steak with all the trimmings.

I love the idea of a fine dining restaurant offering lunch.

I live in the Atlantic City area and when Ruth Chris was open for lunch around the holidays I made sure I went. Lunching at a fine dining restaurant is a GREAT way to try out that restaurant on a budget, not to mention a good venue for celebrating an occasion or just to give yourself an extra special treat. Most large metropolitan areas (NYC, L.A., Chicago, Boston, Dallas, etc) have fine dining options for lunch.

  2. I work for a lawfirm and we choose our lunch places on a) location relative to our building b) how long it would take to get our food (is there a long wait to be seated, does it take a long time to get our order once placed) c) Price. We only have an hour so we really have to be concerned about how long it takes to get our food and get back to the office. However, no one really wants to spend more than $8/plate. We all like different kinds of food, from sandwhiches, burgers, salads, soups, to tacos/burritos etc.

  3. To celebrate a hard work day or a day when I'm not working.  I get only 30 minutes for lunch, five days a week.

  4. I eat out for lunch because I can't get home to cook, and plus I hardly  ever remember to make something to take to work.
