  1. When I want to show off!

  2. it's hard to tell, people i've seen fight while angry throw some blind haymakers. This can work for or against, because if someone dodges these random shots it leaves the person exposed. Rage can work for or against an individual, so i'd have to go with patience and good judgement, because anger is so random.

  3. The Force, and subtitles

  4. you dont nessesarily have to be agressive. some of the best attacks i throw are counters to some idiot trying to rush me. patience and good judgement. wait for the opportunity to attack while the idiot is wasting all his energy on attacks that are only going to be blocked. then when hes wore out thats when you attack. anger can be a good and a bad thing. it makes you get up and keep going when you get knocked down but its a double edged knife. it will also cause you to make stupid mistakes if you let it control you.

  5. A bit of everything. Hunger too.

  6. my sister being mean to me

  7. Patience and good judgment. Isn't it hard to be patient if you're being attacked?

  8. I like deception and aggression.

  9. ten pints of lager

  10. Aggression need not be ruthless, and anger is valuable if used properly. Striking blindly is always a bad idea, but anger used as moral reasoning, such as anger due to a hurt loved one, is best channeled as determination and resolve. The answer to your question?

The reason is what makes you fight 'better,' not the aggression, anger, patience or judgement.

The technique application answer here would be that TIMING makes us a better martial artist.

  11. I have to agree with Annis.  A combination of the two is more valuable.  For a raw beginning fighter with little experience aggression is very important and you can not win much without it to some extent.  For a more experienced fighter fighting is as much mental and tactical as physical so they must think, make adjustments and changes while at the same time being physical and agressive.  Beginning fighters lack the experince to be able to this very well usually and instead rely more heavily on their physical skills and emotional state.  That changes with time and experience and the better fighters learn how to blend these things together to make themselves into a more complete, and smarter, better fighter.  They turn their agression on and off like a faucet and generally don't rely on their emotions near as much as a raw beginner does.  This along with measured agression helps them to conserve their energy and not waste it uselessly or allow other fighters to use that agression against them and catch them coming in or make them waste it easily.

  12. Necessity and danger.

    (Patience and good judgment.)

  13. ruthless aggression, especially if they have hurt me

  14. judgement and ruthless aggression

  15. a bit of both as i do judo and a little boxing but when a fight is hard i use more aggresion but in a match where i have the edge i slow it down and do patience/judgement

  16. good technique..and a killer instinct

  17. Staying calm, focused, patient, and anticipating.

  18. Preparation: Training and Athletic Development Exceed the Adjectives Above

I'm going to mix and match from your five choice.

*Ruthlessness:  Of course, if you're fighting you need to be prepared to do some damage.

*Aggression:  Yes, you need to really bring the fight to your opponent.

*Good Judgement:  You have to make split decision in a fight.

*Patience:  Is a great life skill and may keep you out of a fight, but once a fight starts, hesitation may be your demise.

*Anger:  The only good thing anger does is make you more resilient to pain.  Other than that, for the most part anger makes one sloppy, throws your timing off, and makes you use energy too fast.
