What makes you individual to everyone else in the world?

Now this is a VERY interesting question so don't feel embarrased to rate my question interesting! Basically, I want to know what makes you 'you'. I've met to many ordinary people out there who do the same things as every one else and they don't own a personality or a talent that makes them different from everybody else. What makes you special and if you're not an individual - how come?

  1. Your fingerprints, your mind and your self assessment.

No one will agree with your unmitigated self assessment.

  2. We both like stars(I gave you one since you asked and made me laugh) and have the same percentage of Best Answers...so I guess that's not what makes me individual to everyone else in the world. The answer is: nothing except a specific sequence of occurrences. Every emotion, every thought, every perception I have had, someone else amongst the billions of humans has had to. I haven't written a book or a symphony. I may have had a positive influence on a few of the students I had over many years or a least a passing positive memory...but as my grandfather used to say to every family tragedy, major and minor, "In a hundred years it won't make any difference." Basically, our individuality is just another illusion that helps us get through life.

  3. conscience and physical body chemistry my dear.

Am feeling like a glass of water and am going for it now.

    get the point!

  4. My fingerprints. No one else in the world has the identical ones. lol - :)

  5. I have my own identity, spirit, strength, thoughts, think for myself, am not the slave of peer pressure or being a sheep. Basically I am my own person and nobody else can ever be me or can ever take that away from me.

And another thing - I must be one of a handful of women who choose to leave their wavey hair natural rather killing the sh..t out of it by straightening it and looking like one another!!!

  6. I am guessing that you are young (not that there's anything wrong with that) because when I was in high school I felt that exact same way. As I've gotten older and lived through more I've become more patient and empathetic and I have realized that even the most tedious people I meet all have their own story and their own dreams and hopes and fears. No one is boring to himself and even if ones talents aren't apparent to the world each person does have some personal joy or passion. Some of these may not seem valid to you now but they may later. I think most people believe, in their youth, that they are so blazingly special that they are bound to take the world by storm. It seems impossible that anyone else has ever experienced the peaks and valleys and insights that you are blessed with. I know I felt that way. I was sure I would write incredible, genius novels when on breaks from touring with my internationally renowned punk rock band. Right now I work 2nd shift in a factory, but inside I'm still me. You'd never know it though and you would find me incredibly boring. Many people do because after many years I finally learned to keep my mouth shut. I have nothing to prove to anyone and I'm just trying my best to stay as true to myself and as happy as I can.

Have a heart. Everyone is cool in some way and awful in another and we're all a little ordinary too.

  7. I guess I would have to say my finger print.
