What makes you proud to be British?

we are not aloud to be proud of being britsh!

we are a multi cultural country and celerbrate every religious holiday going, which i love by the way.so why did they try and rename christmas that 1 year. remember "winterval" what a load of snowballs.

st georges day was the least celerbrated st day untill recentley.

my friend as a st george cross flag, and a bull dog tatood on his forearms, how many people think his is racits!

what makes me proud to be britsh is the fact we try so hard not to offend anyone we loose our own identy and we dont mind.

When I think of the UK on its own its seems a tad rubbish (we do have our   problems)

But I feel proud when I compare it to any other country in the world.

How about our armed forces for starters, everyone a hero and doing a fantastic job throughout the world.

There's some good history that we can be proud of (obviously not all by any means, but some)

Inventions, discoveries, art, books from many Brits over the years.

It has a great music scene which is popular in many other countries

Decent health care system (which hardly anyone appreciates until they move abroad and have to pay for everything!)

Lovely countryside

Great coastline

Good sense of humour that you just don't get elsewhere

Fish and chips!

I could go on, but I'll give someone else a chance
