  1. Its an illusion my country is not a free country. Yes to the average Joe its a free country but if you just scratch beneath the surface its all an illusion we all live under "the mans" rules. We are not free and I think more people should realize that....

  2. Most people are generally selfish and unless it affects you everyday or you have a family member serving our country and are in action you will probably not realize the price our freedom really is. It is sad but true. Sometimes you have to stop and realize that we are, in fact, a lucky country, Now let's get a good president!

  3. That  someone  who claims  came illegal on a  boat  here now has  two decent  jobs,   that if a bad  storm  comes you can  go live off another  states goverment, that your  kids  born  here  get  a  education  and  free lunches,

But  if  you are  born  here,  worked  here all your  life  and get  disabled you have  to  wait  6 months for medical benifits, and  then have  some  disbility pay   taken  away to use the Medcare.

  4. Freedom of speech, freedom to choose your leaders, freedom to report about deficiencies/scams/etc of beaurocracy, freedom to practice your religion and other things which we take for granted living in a free country.

It is only when we visit comunist countries/dictatorship countries etc where people are afraid to even talk anything political, that we realise the freedom of our country.

Yes freedom does not mean that we can be free to commit crimes, embezel government or welfare funds etc.etc.

  5. the freedom of speech and expression and the right to vote. we are  not bound to any other nation and we have the right to do whatever we like.

  6. The freedom of speech.

You can bash the PM, CM or any powerful person in India.

  7. what makes me realize that i am living in a free country.  fine.

no doubt, i am living in free country without any freedom.  what is a freedom and how to experience a freedom and how to realize a freedom.  yes, your question induced my think tank and i took nearly 12 hours and above to realize a freedom.

The general election and some times election to local bodies makes me realize that i am living in a free country.  The fundamental rights given to all citizens of this country protects every citizen and the indian constitution gives guarantee too to live peacefully as long as they live in the country.  i consider this as this is not fundamental right but it is a fundamental duty.  i am not free to see TV in my home and my says that children studying. i am not free to speak, since my wife warns that someone is hearing. i am not free to go anywhere, since they say protected area or tress pass. Freedom is something that most of us has taken for granted and all freedom in india has all comforts, privileges, offered, but even our personal thoughts are controlled.  i have an opportunity to meet the presidency college students in a forum and i found that they were not connected with the reality and they accept the western cultures leaving our traditions and rich cultures and they never realizes about their future and even not think about the parents.  Totally, they don't know what is a freedom means.

we have to live for our family.  so, we are restricted to behave and to live without freedom.  we have to live for the society. so, we are living for the society also and thus we are cutting our freedom to some extent.  Actual freedom is a tried and tested way of being happy and harmless in my country as it actually is....stripped of the veneer of reality or greater reality that is super imposed by the psychological or physic entity with the body. one can become virtually free from all insidious feelings...the emotions, passions and it is a normal expectations of human.

what more do you feel free?  when an educated denied opportunity,  when he denied admission and where is the funamental rights ?  where to make complaint about denying fundamental rights ?  is it free india and how to lead a peaceful life.  when indian constitution giving guarantee the rights, why some section of the society are suffering for not getting admissions, not able to get employment opportunities.  is it a freedome ?

i am living  in a free country with freedom and without getting the freedom rights and i am controlled by many, but anyway i am happy that i am living in a free country and realises that freedom is my liberty but to certain extent and if i use the freedom matter, my freedom will come to a question.  Hence, i am proud that i am living in a country and realises freedom.

i can go with other relevent and required details with more paragraphs, but i am restricted and reduced and this is enough.
