  1. no...theres  too many peope involved to be rigged...come back..  we  miss you

  2. Awwww, come back so we can have fun here in AFL Category!!

There are times when i think that the umpiring decisions definitely favor the opposiing team (mainly Carlton - they get so many free kicks!).

Brisbane won 3 flags in a row and that was definitely NOT rigged...Collingwood just get the wobbles when its finals time.

If it were rigged then Collingwood would have won a premiership by now considering how much money it would generate for AFL and MCG!!!

  3. It's not cause what person in their right mind would train their @ss off and sacrifice their life for nothing.

If it was rigged, anyone would be playing.

  4. it is not Rugby so is Irrelevant...

maybe if they had some sheep on the pitch it would be worth watching

  5. If the AFL was rigged, Gary Ablett, Sr and Billy Brownless would have 4 premierships.

But, it isn't so go back to the footy. At least the AFL doesn't have free agency yet to ruin the competitive balance of the league.

I hope Benny Gale reads this post.

  6. If you had played then you would know it's not rigged, try convincing young men who have trained bloody hard to win a footy game to then lose one deliberately, don't think so when most players contracts are performance based with more money on offer when their team is winning.

  7. If AFL was rigged then victoria would never have let the '04 '05 and '06 grand finals happen (none of them had victorian teams in) and even if you still believe that its rigged atleast watch it so one day you can say "I Went to the match where Dale Thomas kicked 24 goals" or something like that (I'm not saying that Dale Thomas is going to kick 24 goals though)

  8. I actually was inclined for a while to think that it was rigged.  But in hindsight I think the new teams just did get an exceptionally good deal for a while.  They got a lot of priority picks, salary cap exclusions, recruitment zones etc which was probably essential to develop the game.

The draft system is a type of football communism which while annoying sometimes has ensured six premiers in eight years or something like that.

What I think we're seeing now is that system settling down a bit and I think it's good.  I don't think there's any match fixing going on or it would be the money clubs that got the nod each year .... and Carlton can't seem to buy a premiership lately :-)

  9. Yeah, What Rogue said!

  10. Yes well it was actually proven to be rigged I had one conversation with of my mates about it but only if I could remember where I heard that from. Some video footage was showen about 13 years ago of a guy paying someone from the AFL money to rigg the game. Aparently the police cracked down on it and not only that but some of the players were using steroids true story.

  11. If it was rigged then the Lions, the Swans, The Eagles, the Crows & the Power would not have won premierships in recent years.

I know there are many involved withe VFL,,,,,,,sorry, I meant AFL, who would dearly love to rig games so as a Melbourne based club could finally win one - but alas, they can't do so & games aint rigged!
