It's not about that - our team's name isn't "manu" with or without caps lock - it's Manchester United or man utd or united. You wrote "Manchester City" in full on a question the other day, not "manc" or any other abreviation, you only call us manu to p**s us off.

TBH, you can call us what you want, i'm not bothered what rivals call us (there are much worse names than "manu") - it's just when our own "fans" call us that (or man yoo) that annoys me. It'd be like your fans suddenly starting to call LFC the dippers or the RS!

EDIT - i don't really get your point about caps lock!? the point The Doc is making is that the term manu is extremely disrespectful as i'm sure your probably aware.

the problem is, as the article states, even a lot of Man Utd fans refer to us using that term which is just shameful and embarrassing as it makes it even harder for the real fans to defend our team!
