  1. Well, you should try maybe Hapkido or another form of Karate.

I have been doing it for about 6 months and have taken my time and Im already 3 belts into it. It has helped me a lot with confidence and how to do things correctly.

It all depends on how devoted you are to it! =]

  2. Look your not going to get really good at any martial arrts in 3 months, its impossible. It takes atleast 6 months to a year for your brain to rewire and things to become automatic. Now there are also so depends, like if you take 3 months of ju-jitsu of course you can take someone on and win against someone that doesnt know any ju-jitsu or martial arts. But if you do happen to fight someone with martial arts experience your gonna have a harder time. But if you wanna learn to be destructive fast I recommend any style of Kempo. The Reason Being that this style used correctly will beat a lot of other styles out there regardless of experience. And just to finish this style focuses on strikes and tearing attacks to the eyes, private areas, throat, face, and weak points of the body.

  3. boxing.

  4. Why do you need to learn something that takes MOST people 10 years or more to master in just 3 months. You better be REALISTIC here.....Learning ANYYYYY of the martial arts requires a LIFETIME COMMITTMENT to staying healthy, working out 2-3 times a week, weight training, self-discipline and maturity. Who do you think you are fooling? Are you planning to get into a fight in the next three months? My advice to you is don't EVEN START training in ANY of the martial arts now, because you probably DO NOT have the COMMITTMENT it takes. When you are committed to practicing and training for at least 3-5 YEARS then start. The dojo's and dojangs are FILLED with guys like you who thought they could become Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris or Steven Seagall overnight. I am not saying you won't learn something in three months....but it will probably be just enough to build your confidence to the point that someone is going to kick your butt in a streetfight. Until you are ready to committ yourself to the training regiment it will take I suggest you learn how to run faster or AVOID trouble in the first place.

  5. try wrestling or bjj (brazilian jiu jitsu) i don't know if wrestling counts as a martial art, but it really teaches amazing moves

  6. Well, here I am biased, 3 months of Krav Maga will give you the basics in fighting, weapons disarmament and a higher level of fitness as we run PFT to standards beyond other arts.

Combat SAMBO for three months will get you comfortable with joint locking and hand to hand combat and weapons disarmament.

A few months of Judo or Jiu Jitsu will round out your game as you already know how to strike.  As an MT guy you would like Krav Maga, the striking is similar, but we deal with a variety of hand to hand and weapons scenarios.

    Good luck in your quest.

  7. you should try Shito Ryu

  8. definitely the most useful martial art is Brazilian jiu jitsu when it comes to street fighting it is simply the most practical

of course i dont know your age and physical condition but if you need it only to defend yourself in high school would suggest wing chun which works mainly on blocking and strike speed (for school bjj is just too brutal)

mind you you wont master anything in three months but if you practice hard youll get far in any martial art that you might choose it all comes down to how dedicated you are

    good luck!

  9. wresting and bjj take a while to get good at ( i have been wrestling now for +5years) and taking bjj for 6 months, u need experiance just getting ur *** handed to u before u get good, my suggestion is Combat Sambo
