What matches good with green?

What color matches good with green? I'm making my boyfriend a "bad day box" for his birthday, and his favorite color is green, so i want to paint it that color. I wanted to put a ribbon across the top of the box that i could write "Jeremy's Bad Day Box" on in black lettering, and i wanted to know what color to make the ribbon.
