  1. Put butter on the sides.....

  2. ants can climb about any thing, the thing is don't over feed your dog.just give your dog a portion that's just right,no leftovers.the ants want like it but that's ok.

  3. Only put the dish out when it's food time :)

  4. What I did was I took a little bit of oil, but it on a paper towel, and wiped the outside of my dogs food bowl. My dog didn't l**k it, and the ants stayed away or tried to climb in and failed.

  5. Ants can climb up any dish and stand.

  6. drill 3 holes in a plastic pan... try rope and hang it outa a tree. Put fly tape down the roap about a foot. From the branch down.

  7. I have this special bowl that has a indent on the outside sides, where water sits on the sides, any ant that trys to get in drowns or they no better and walk away. Or you can get a old icecream lid or something and put water on it and sit the dogfood container on top, ants hate this too.

  8. You could try this http://www.sani-moat.com/

  9. Put the dish in a flat pan, like a skillet with the handle removed.Put about an inch of water in the skillet and the ants won't be able to get to the food. Of course, change the water daily,or it will get food in it and get stagnant.

  10. I would maybe try getting a frame or something to hold it up off the ground (even a little bit) to keep the ants out rather than looking for a specific material. Plus if you have a bigger dog, having their food up off the ground makes it easier for them to eat.

  11. None. Don't leave dish out unless dog is eating.

  12. If you find one let me know. I even have the Fool-a-bug bowls and they don't work either.

I've see putting the bowl inside a larger bowl or deep plate and then filling it with water to create a moat with water so the ants can't cross the water.

  13. Put it in a pan of water to keep the ants out.

  14. You can bye bowels that are made to prevent ants from climbing in food bowels. I know I've seen them at Petco or Petsmart. also check out www.petedge.com I'm not sure if they sell them
