My carpenter is building me an outside insulated shed for my newly installed oil tank. I was surprised today when he didn't use any covering material on the INSIDE of the fiberglass insulation pieces. I don't want to use plastic because of mold/mildew issues, and because it's an outside shed, he didn't think paper was a good idea. Does anyone have any other ideas?

  1. Marine plywood.

  2. Depends on how much $$ you want to spend. For outdoor use, steel siding like on pole barns would be excellent, but also the most expensive.  They also make some fiberglass sheets that is already mounted to plywood or osb. It's called dairy board and you usually see them in bathroom. It has the rough finish. this stands up well to moisture too but is also costly.

Cheap fix is paneling, sheetrock or just plywood.

  3. How about using plywood.  You can then hang all of your gardening equipment on the walls and out of your way.
