What mattress topper is the best for the value? ?

I've been looking around for a mattress topper and saw the tempsoma one at Sam's Club for $179...I went online and saw two out of three reviews didn't like it because it was 'too hot'. I went to a mattress store to ask, and they didn't have any toppers, but the guy recommended tempur-pedic. I looked online and see that is $532...which is way too much IMHO for a topper. So, is there a place online that reviews them, or what personal experience do you all have? I'm kind of leaning toward a memory foam type, but if you prefer another kind, please let me know why. Thanks in advance.

I bought a queen size Novaform memory foam topper at Tuesday Morning for $79.  But, they are all going to sleep a little warmer than a plain mattress because the latex holds in heat.  I don't think it matters what brand you buy, all of the latex types are going to do that.  I don't recommend a feather topper  -had one and it was uncomfortable!  I've heard that wool toppers are nice, and believe it or not, they aren't too hot.
