  1. There is really no maximum weight for a horse racing jockey, but the more a jockey weighs the less rides he/she will get.  Depending on the race conditions a horse could be scheduled to carry 126 pound (Kentucky Derby weight for colts) or more for handicap races (as much as 136 pounds).  But there are races and conditions that would only require a horse to carry less than 110 pounds.  Apprentice jockeys get a weight allowance of -10 to -3  pounds depending on how many wins they have.  So to get the most of that allowance they need to be the lightest of all the jockeys, about 100 pounds.  Steeplechase riders can be as much as 160 pounds but that's a different type of racing.  I would say the perfect jockey would weight between 110 and 115 pounds  They get plenty of rides that way.

  2. The jockey's weight can be at the max 117 pounds!

  3. Thoroughbred jockey's 117

    quarter horse jockey's 124

harness driver.....190(they call him" big boy"
