Right now I would love some fried squid. Sigh. My favorite food.

Miss bacon too. And beef (but I'm okay on that since the veggie mock meats for beef are pretty good).

  1. i miss sushi

but i still eat vegetarian sushi with brown rice

    it's amazing!

  2. The only real reason I would miss any meat is simply because it opens up so many more options.  As for something specific, I'd say P.F. Chang's kung pao chicken.

  3. LOL Deep Fried Seafood: Shrimp & Oysters.

Chicken Nuggets, for awhile I did Boca's but found out I was allergic to both soy & wheat which they have in them.

  4. Grilled chicken

  5. chicken

    and

    turkey bacon..

  6. When I was going through a vegetarian phase, I missed beef and pork the most. And now I'm back to my normal phase (eating meats and vegetables as well as all the other foods of the food groups). I can't resist meat...BUT, I have limited my amounts, so it's mainly veggies.

  7. I miss dinosaur meat the most.....

  8. I don't miss meat, though I do miss cheese pizza :'(

  9. I don't miss it, but sometimes around that 'time of the month' I crave a juicy burger. But then I remember that blood mkes it juicy, yum yum animal's blood, and my iron craving is solved with a bowl of cereal with soymilk, a big spinach salad with nuts, hummus & veggies/pita chips, bean burgers, veggie meat, tons of options!

  10. salmon (sushi & grilled). fried squid rings. bacon.

  11. I miss pork the most.

  12. The meat that doesn't come from a butchered animal.

    ...wait, that's all meat.  Nevermind.

  13. Since 10 years ago, I already wanted to be vegan.

But whenever I started eat vege only, after few days I will start feel headache. And if I go to KFC to eat some chicken than the headache stop. But you know those fried chicken is really hard to swallow. but to stop my headache I really need to swallow it.

Only recently I learn that if I want to go vegan I need to take B12 supplement. So I started take B12 and go 100% vegan.

Marvelously, I don't feel headache anymore now even after few months of being vegan.

I am so grateful that I don't need to swallow those kfc fried chicken anymore.

  14. I don't miss meat at all.

  15. I honestly don't miss meat anymore. I don't see it as something edible, so I don't equate an animal carcass with something desireable.

    lol.

When I *first* gave up meat years and years ago, I missed gyros and chicken wings.

  16. You asked:

"Is it really so bad to miss something you grew up with? Isn't it your actions that matter?

Or is thinking about bacon really equivalent to me going out and killing a pig myself?"

I crave bacon sometimes, especially if I smell it cooking.  It brings back memories of being at my grandparents' house, so I think it is more than just the meat itself.

I don't think there's anything wrong about craving the bacon, because you certainly aren't going out and killing the pig or causing anybody else to do it.

It took a while (several years, in fact) for me to get used to using Bacos (used to HATE them) and the fake bacon from the freezer (Morningstar Farm, I think), but now they are decent substitutes for me.  I know I'll never eat bacon again and the smell of it cooking is the most tempting thing I've ever been faced with, but the idea of killing one of those beautiful animals just to satisfy my tastebuds repulses me.

Supposedly there is a company working on cloning meat or growing it in test tubes...I might consider buying bacon made that way...

  17. chicken.

    really bad. =[

  18. None.

If you miss it, just eat it, jeez..

  19. I don't miss meat or fish at all.  I became a vegan because of cruelty to animals.  I would never ever want to eat any meat or fish again.

  20. I've been a vegetarian for 12 years, I don't think I could stand the taste of any kind of meat anymore.

But the smell of Roast Beef still sometimes gets me.

    Until I remember it's a cow.

  21. Eww, why in the world would I miss meat? I never liked meat it always tasted nauseating, sicking, dead, and bloody, and later I founded out why. I only liked how the meat was cooked and what is was cooked in which I can easily duplicate, plus the vegan plant meat alternatives are awesome and do not have the sick tasting of meat. I admit I am a vegan and sometimes I miss some non-vegan products such as snickers ice cream bars or cheese, even though dairy made me sick and nauseated. I still can get vegan cheese and I would soon make a vegan snickers which would be quite easy just no milk or milk products and then viola. Anything else I might *miss* I could easily duplicate and veganize pretty much, I recently found out how to make awesome vegan Chez-Its which I use to love, so yep....being a vegan is pretty darn awesome. Not only do we get to not eat animal products, but we can veganize them into not tasting sick and have them taste better, as well as the many foods we get to it. It is sad when  people do not try a vegan diet, I think they are totally missing out.

EDIT: Whoa why the 3 thumb downs? Because I was honest and I love being a vegan?

  22. I dont miss it

  23. I miss none because I eat them all.

  24. I've only been a vegetarian for just less than a month, and the only meat so far that I miss, is bacon.

Weirdest part is that pigs are and have always been my favourite animal (not to eat, but in general) and thats the only food that i miss the most lol!! Funny!

But so far, I've been strong and hope to stay strong!! ♥

  25. I guess you are asking "What kind of death body tissue do you miss most?"

    Well, I don't miss any.
