What memory card will i need?

i need a good GB for my camera. what is the highest GB i can get? how much? where from?

at the moment i have 1 GB lol and its only holds 300 photo's.

i want to record videos too so what GB will i need?

8 gb is good, I got a genuine brand new card in sealed packaging from a reputable ebay business seller for a fraction of the cost (always check feedback).

8 GB will be enough.

They make ones as large as 32gb but my 1gb card can record about an hour of video so it depends on how long you will want to record for.

To answer that question, you really need to provide more information, particularly the camera make and model. Some cameras, generally older models, are limited in terms of how much memory they can use. But, assuming that is not a problem, a 4 GB card should be sufficient, or 8 GB card if you want to take a large number of shots. You can get some good deals on cards nowadays. I suggest Sandisk cards. They are reliable, and not very expensive. I believe they are having a very good rebate program taking place right now which will save you some money on your card(s). PS: Beware of getting cards from ebay. There are many knock-off products on there. So, the card you get may look, just like the real thing, but are in fact cheap imitations much of the time. And I feel that an ebay sellers reputation is essentially useless for the most part because people tend to post feedback before actually getting, and using the product they purchased. But, that is only my opinion. Certainly avoid sites where the product is going to be shipped from overseas.

I suggest buying only from reputable, well known and trusted sources located in the USA - B&H, Adorama, and even Amazon.com. I've gotten things from Beach Camera, and never had a problem with them. But, some people have had problems with them...Avoid sites that have prices which sound too good to be true.
