  5. I think a cajun/creole menu would definately hit the spot and mix in well with greens etc.  check out  http://www.cajungoods.com

  6. Greens will definitely make you look silly.

Instead, fix some black angus steak, with rice and black beans. Make a salad and throw in lots of black olives.  Sip on Johnny Walker Scotch Black Label and for dessert, black raspberry ice-cream.

  7. >? To your family race matters because of culture??

    Hmmm.. Ok???.

Well, you did say : "1, i married the white boy."

You  may want to speak better than that to avoid looking silly.

    lol

  8. What did you eat growing up? I would think you have an idea of what they like from experience. Check here http://www.soulfoodandsoutherncooking.co...

  9. I'd offer some fried chicken/fish with mashed potatoes, turnip greens, green beans, or corn on the cob, and for dessert I would get a cake and ice cream.

I didn't have that problem:  my husband's familily was too eager to try German food---and they fell in love with it.....so you can also try to cook what you know is your husband's favorite.

  10. Ok, I'll bite...

If you are gonna make greens might as well make cornbread. After that you're on your own...

By the way, how come you 'don't fit in' with them?

How about you cook what you like to cook/eat and what you cook well? That would probably be best.

  11. I am not Polish but I like Polish Sausage.

I am not Italian but I like Italian Sausage.

I am not Canadian but I like John Candy in Canadian Bacon.

What does race have to do with it... stop all the food discrimination and ask everyone what they enjoy eating.

  12. Don't forget the fried chicken, the chitlin's and the ham hocks.

Plus you have to have plenty of supersweet RED kool-aid and Malt liquor for them to drink.
