Me and my spouse don't agree on this. I say stainless steel or maybe titanium. My other half says silver.

  1. Silver is way too soft of a metal!  It wouldn't last.

Definitely titanium (strong, light, expensive) or steel (strong, heavy, cheaper).

  2. My new knee is stainless steel and titanium. No silver.

  3. My boss just had a knee replacement surgery and his is made of a titanium alloy.  It was supposed to have been some kind of state-of-the-art device that was not proven yet, but he is doing quite well so far.  I hope that helps.

  4. It's titanium. They don't use steel because it's not hypoallergenic like titanium is, and it weighs less.

  5. I believe it's titanium - it's strong and light. Silver would be far too expensive.
