  1. Platinum is a much denser metal, so it is harder to scratch.  Platinum also has a high corrosion resistance, so it's not as easily affected by acids.

Just like gold, neither metal will tarnish, like silver or bronze does.

Titanium might hold up a bit better to breaking, but both of them are so much stronger than gold or silver, it hardly matters.

  2. Titanim has resistnce to heat (1450 deg.C) at very high pressure, abrassion, withstand very high pressure at normal temperature and server level of corrosive environment.

Its decay by oxidation / reducion is comparatively less.

Use of Titanium as an alloying element is popular in constructing combustion chamber of jet engines ,gas turbine blades ,cladding material in urea process towers, ammonia converors, jet engine nozzles, pressure vessels steel plates etc.

Titanium has better characterstics to last longer.

  3. Like everything else, it depends..........Titanium will better resist physical abuse, but platinum has better chemical resistance to such things as bleach - use d for sterilizing swimming pools.

  4. Titanium
