Positivist, or interpritist? this is for my sociology coursework asking if the family is symmetrical

  2. It depends. What research are you doing? Are you doing quantitative or qualitative research? I'd probably do quantitative, a questionnaire about family structure, who does what in the family etc., but there's always method problems. If quantitiative, then you are being positivist because positivism is the scientific method in sociology.

  4. My girlfriend looked at both aspects and incorporated the two methodologies.
