What methods are available for choosing the gender of a baby ?

Yes, baby gender selection is common in Asia, in China, Japan, Korea and India.

There are many success stories and most people will know someone who has done that and succeeded.

I saw a site with some good books which I bought for my sister.  They are westernized and very comprehensive.

for a boy have the man dominating the intercourse, and for a girl have the woman dominating the intercourse. dominating the intercourse means doing the thrusting, having o****m first, and visualizing a girl or boy being conceived.

when I conceived my first child, I was on top, achieved o****m first, and thought about pink things and visualized the girl sperm fertilizing the egg when he came, and I had a girl!

There are many different methods that can be used to influence the gender of your baby.  I've heard that eating certain foods, using certain positions, ovulation and timing are all involved.  I've heard that those Chinese "baby gender charts" are not reliable or scientifically proven.  Good Luck!

Guess our tendency is to be judgemental about choosing s*x. Doesn't seem right.  

But I've seen a friend who has 3 boys and was pining for a girl all the time.  After she bought one of these books and tried all the techniques, she got a boy and she was so happy that I changed my mind about this.  The whole family is happy about their new member so I suppose there's no one who lost in this case.
