There is no metro from Los Angeles to apple valley.  Apple valley does have a transit system (Victor Valley Transit Authority), but it only connects to local high-desert cities.  You might check to see if greyhound makes a stop in Apple Valley

I didn't think the metro goes that far but there should be a train or a greyhound bus that goes there.  Stop by Union Station or check the Amtrak site.  One should be one that goes to Las Vegas.

Metro doesn't go there, but AmTrak does go to Victorville whose station is right at Hwy 18 which is the beginning of the main drag into Apply Valley.  Catch a bus there for a 5-10 minute ride into Apple Valley.
