If Russia were to show its displeasure with proposed NATO anti-missile installations by striking these or other military targets in Poland, what would be the likely first response of NATO?

Do you think that some nations would choose to pass the problem and refer the case to the UN? A UN where Russia is a voting member!

  1. no other country will go to war against russia. If the US would do air strikes on Russia the US would cease to exist because of russian nukes.Nato is a bluff and is meant to convince russia to not attack but if they do no one will die for Poland.Who would?

  2. Any nation that was apart of NATO would be obligated to go to war with Russia. rapid response would probably be the sizable airforce the US has based over there. They would probably respond and own the skies in about 48 hours. 72 hours for Any nato troops in the surrounding countries.

If any of the de-facto members of NATO (Britain- France- US for example) Did not declare war upon receiving news that Poland was under attack, then NATO is useless and might as well be disbanded.

Mark R- this is of course assuming things don't go nuclear, and Russia won't be in any hurry to go nuclear, because they know they die too. NATO has not proven in any way to be a bluff yet. No country has attacked a NATO country. I'd like to think people learned their lessons about WW2...
