  1. very unlikely both would happen at the same time.. but id say if the trans blew and the motr over rev might have but real unlikey

  2. Really the only way they'd blow at the same time is if the flywheel or torque converter shattered and came apart and damaged the bell housing and the rear main seal area, although I have yet to see that happen.

  3. The only possible way to mess up your engine and tranny AT THE SAME TIME is if you were driving fast and you slammed it from drive to reverse and for some reason, the tranny actually caught and started moving in reverse, it would most likely warp your crankshaft and flexplate and completely demolish your tranny....mind you this is nearly impossible to do, as your tranny would more than likely demolish on shift point. Good luck with whatever your doing lol

  4. The odds of them going out simultaneously is out of reason.

A little more info would be help full...

Like whats it doing or not doing. well the motor turn over but not start? does it not turn over at all?

    More info please

  5. Negligence.

  6. I would think it would be the other way around.  A catastrophic engine failure could also damage the transmission.

The sudden  stop of the engine and the stress of the drive train from the moving vehicle in gear, something would have to give.

  7. The only way that it could all happen at once is to run over a roadside bomb. It ain't gonna happen.
