  1. Earth's temperature will continue to rise, the glacier caps will melt, sea levels will rise, and a percent of earth's land will be covered in water. Many species would become extinct.

  2. any more of global warming we will freeze to death lol..

  3. we will all go under water and drown! or we will become used to breathing under water and become mermaids and menmaids

  4. There are now six and a half billion people to feed and many millions living in low lying coastal communities and cities.  The first effect is likely to be that land used for food production in many areas becomes much less productive due water shortages.  There will be a degree of compensation due to warmer climate in cold areas but this will take time before food production can be established in these areas.  There will be immense social problems due to lack of food and displacement of people fleeing from rising sea levels on low lying land.

  5. we would get really hot but after a while  we would go into a ice age so the world can straighting itself out

  6. london will be under water all the ice in both poles and greenland will be gone

  7. if global warming continues like this then the glaciers will be melting like the gangotri glacier in the himalayas.the penguins and the polar bears will get extinct.coral reefs are damaged due to global warming.

  8. In a hundred years, we'll all die of old age if something else doesn't get us sooner.  During that time, the Earth may warm on average another degree or two.  The seasons will change as they have through living memory, the oceans may rise an inch or so, weather will be as unpredictable as it always has been, basically nothing noticeable will happen.

  9. We can start growing our own bananas pineapples less gas bills less electric. buy less clothes we will be a lot better off then we wont have to import food from other country's we have s--t weather while other country's have warm weather bring it on. stuff the gas and electric prices.

  10. You won't need a heavy coat in winter.

  11. All Polar bears die, but humans will have good growing food conditions

  12. who knows?

No one knows for sure if there really is global warming as a result of human pollution. Maybe it's just the natural progression of the planet. They have all these predictions like in fifty years the earth will be so many more degrees hotter but at the same time they cant get the weather reports right from day to day.

  13. Global warming isn't real.

    What don't you get?

The earth's climate has always gone in cycles.

This is a estimated climate chart from the past 400000 years.

    http://seoblackhat.com/images/co2-vs-tem...

We only have concrete evidence from he past few hundred years or so, which is not enough to make conclusions.  Based on the charts from the past 200 years or so, yes, the climate has steadily gone up.  So are we assuming in previous years the climate was lower? and lower? and lower? and.... then what?  The earth is BILLIONS of years old.  Not 200.  Just because the temperature has gone up in the past couple hundred years is not enough to conclude that it will continue rising and that this is not normal.  It IS normal. The climate goes in cycles.

Imagine if it was 60 degrees one day in July and I said, "Oh, It's a cold summer." You would tell me I was being ridiculous, because that was only one day or the entire summer. It is the same concept.  You are making your judgments based on only a small fraction of the time earth has been around.

Oh, and by the way, here's the past 20 years:

  14. it will get really hot

  15. well global warming needs to be happening for it to continue. My prediction is; in a few years or so, Yellowstone will erupt and plummet the temperatures for a few years whilst also culling humans, then temperatures will start to rise again and global warming will be the best thing that ever happened to mankind

  16. If global warming continues, a whole host of bad things will present themselves, including:

1)Shorelines will flood--Florida will be completely under water.

2)We will run out of fossil fuels (the only way for human made global warming is burning them), and wars will result.

3)Worse storms will kill more people and do more damage.

4)Flooding will cause people to move farther inland, causing land strain

5)Since global warming heats the poles most, more land will be exposed for farming, but this will kill off species.

6)In our desperater search for more fossil fuels, we will destroy a lot of land, like what people have done while mining the oil sands in Canada--the devestation of forest land is very bad

7)global warming will cause droughts in some places, causing famine.

8)Some people theorize, although i do not completely agree with it, that when the world heats up enough, currents will change, causing massive cooling

And those are just a few of the many problems cause by global warming.

  17. Scientific assessments suggest that if we continue "business as usual" (or BAU as it's called) climate change will drastically alter the world we live in and how we live in it. Check out the Met Office Hadley Centre, Stern Review (esp Ch. 2) and the IPCC reports for in-depth analyses. The picture they paint includes pretty grim facts like this:

    FACTS like this:

    * Average temperatures will increase from 1.4 to 5.8C by 2100

    * A 2°C rise could mean the 15-40% of land species going extinct

    * The world's most beautiful ecosystems could be lost: 3-4°C could kill off the Amazon rainforest

    * Rising seas (from melting ice sheets) would threaten the homes of 1 in 20 people

    MEANING things like this:

    * Say adios to Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, New York, and Tokyo: Sea-level rises would top over 22 of the world's top 50 cities

    * Forget about ending world hunger:  2-3C more could mean up to 200million MORE people than the current 800million at risk of hunger (WHO estimate)

    * Ditto on tropical disease: Diseases like malaria would reach new, (currently) non-tropical regions - and even more of the world's population than they already do.

    * Our economic well-being could also take a big hit: for the small example, 22% of the world population works in agriculture. If production changes, many people could be out of work. (See the Stern Review for the full economic cost assessment).

That's just the tip of what  might happen if we continue to emit the greenhouse gases we do. Before you get too freaked out though - remember this: We don't have to do BAU. There are LOADS of little things we can do (and lots of little and big things that businesses and governments can do) to reduce emissions and to prevent many of these potential changes -  and to help us adapt to the smaller impacts we are already seeing.

Many organisations and businesses are starting to promote these solutions. If enough of us start making the smallest efforts - and enough businesses and governments take up the task - we can paint a whole different picture than the one sketched out here!

  18. The percentage of carbon dioxide will increase. resulting in an increase of the global temperature. The iceberg in the north and south pole will melt and the sea level will rise drowning countries which are not much higher than the sea level.

  19. Well im the smartest person in the world listen to me Professor Terrill.  What will happen is everything you ever owned and loved will be under water BUT  we will have these nifty houses that are built  really high off ground. The ice bergs wont just melt in a day, they will slowly dissolve giving us time to build these houses. But we will all probebly die of hunger anyway so really yes  we will all die as someone up there said. BUT IF WE ALL USE ELECTRICITY WISELY AND STOP BEING SELFISH AND LAZY THEN WE WILL BREAK THREW THIS PROBLEM! but of corse the people in the year 3000 will all be dieing which is lucky for us for we will not be alive =D

you can thank the b@*$#!$S who invented all this new stuff like t.vs and yes the internet and cars and mobiles and all this stuff we don't need but have been sucked into because we don't know any other life but too buy these stupid things

BY the way  im 14 am i smart? maybe i will post a thing asking am i smart for a 14 year old?

  20. Nothing, as global warming stopped in 1998.

We're now in a global cooling period.

  21. 1) You mean resumes.

    2) What would happen?   Probably the same things that happened last time.   Severe droughts in eastern Africa and the American Southwest, longer growing seasons in temperate zones, etc...

  22. Due to global warming the earth's temperature will increase with the increase in temperature the North pole and south pole will begins to melt due to this the coastal  places will submerge in water.

  23. Well die

    From Al Gore's annoyances!!!

    Okay I'm kidding.

It has a video about our future.

  24. Have a look what is happening around you. The weather has gone crazy. Our bees are disappearing which means we lose most of our food. I could go on they are just two examples. At the end of the day, we'll die and take everything with us because of our selfishness.

  25. Well i fink if we went through an ice age what cant say we may go through a sun age? Its all natural and "global warming" is all a big show. We will just adapt to the new changes, like we did before!
