Question:

What might inspire you to write your own blog?

Something I read today from a favorite website encouraged readers to develop a hobby and write a blog about it. There are so many thousands of blogs on the net, why would anyone read one that I wrote or you wrote? Do you think every blog gets read by someone besides the writer?

  1. huh?

  2. I write a blog to keep my family informed of my daily activities since I just moved several thousand miles away.

  3. Les, sure they do. Thousands of people are on the net all the time. Go for it.

  4. Sometimes words are the only way to say what you need to. It does not matter whether the words are ever read or not. The fact that you have put it out there is satisfaction enough. Comments and feedback from readers is great but cant be the main motivation.

If you start a blog about a specific topic make sure you are keen to write about it. There are some fantastic information blogs out there representing hours of effort from each individual writer but you can be sure they don't all get a return on that investment of time and it can turn into a task rather than just sharing your thoughts.

My recommendation is go for it. You can always delete it if you don't get into it.

    Be safe, be sage

  5. everyone wants to be heard...

  6. Well, I write basically for the enormous satisfaction that brings to your body, soul and mind...

At the end of the day, when you sit back in your arm chair and relax, with a cuppa coffee in hand, you can cheer yourself up by the fact that you are become a 'name' and a member of the great community of bloggers worldwide...

The recognition that you get along with the personal comments that you get, and the bookmarks you get.. makes you feel wanted...

It literally livens up the spirit and makes you feel, along with the great Keats to say,

"Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter...!"

Thus, i strongly feel that every blog gets read by at least a hundred people if it's on the WORLD WIDEEE WEB!!!, inspiring and motivatin other fellow bloggers as well..!!! So keep up the good work online..!All the best..!!!

  7. If the set-up were just one click, literally, that would, not might, inspire me.

People blog for various reasons, from my experience.

Probably most blogs get read by someone once.

I don't know about 'every' blog, but maybe there is a giant puter somewhere 'reading' all of cyberspace all the time.....

Hassel free set up is the inspiration for me these days.

    It's a beautiful day :)

    Thanks for a good Q.

  8. Its like this, not every person on earth like what you write in your blog. People have different likes and dislikes. They do what the wanna do and they want to express people how they feel. Your lucky if you found someone likes what you like and do.

  9. Perhaps on standard blog sites, they are mass-traffic centers for bloggers and surfers in general.  Some of them allow searches for users, members, topics, etcetera.

I have my own website... on my home computer... that no one can ever see unless they know the web address.  I have a few "entries" of various things... but I have no expectation it will ever get read.

  10. I blog every once in a while when I feel like I have something worthwhile that I think needs to be shared or discussed with the public, but I don't necessarily give really personal info and all the names I use are fake for safety purposes. Blogs are important to exercise your freedom of speech or keep others informed, but you may only get one or two readings depending on the time of day and how much your site is visited. Take answers for instance you may have some fans that visit every once in a while, but they won't and probably shouldn't answer your every answer or question. It might get read it might not it might spend years floating in cyberspace and you may have forgotten about it. It really is just up to you what you want to share or not.
