What might it cost to reupholster and partially re stuff a couch?

We bought this couch 3 years ago... and it's falling apart. We don't have kids or dogs and we're not rough on it at all. It actually started ripping at the seams about 1 month after we bought it. We called the furniture store and they sent out some creep who shoddily sewed it. It continues to fall apart. The back cushions are also very lumpy and frumpy. What might it cost to have the upholstery completely redone and re stuff just the back cushions? It's a couch and love seat. Any ideas? Or should we toss it and buy a new quality set?

  1. In many cases the patch job and reupholstering cost more than a new couch. Even cheap couches don't fall apart as fast as yours has!  I would wait for some good sales and look for a really "quality" sofa. Sometimes a store will have one of something left and you can get a great deal. It sounds like your sofa isn't structurally sound enough to put more money into it. Hope you can enjoy a new piece of furniture very soon.

  2. HR you will find the price to reupholster a couch will start at  $600.00 and up, depending on size, type couch, and your area.  Look in yellow pages and call for exact price for your area.

    Good Luck
