  1. The main meat is chicken or fish. Rice and beans, and any thing that can be grown in a garden like tomatoes, peppers, onions  and other root foods. Fruits like bananas, mango, plantain and other vine fruits. They do not use leafy vegetables because of worms get into the leaves.

Cakes and other really sugary desserts are not eaten.

The rich might have some imported wines and additional types of fish or seafood as well as beef.

  2. Tamales, pupusas, baleadas, yuca con chicharron, carne molida con tajadas verdes, sopa de caracol, mondongo, morcilla

These are just some of the traditional dishes. To the girl that said they dont eat real sugary desserts, that is not the case. Just like everyone else hondurans like their sweets

like pastel 3 leches, rosquillas en miel, and all the other sweet stuff they make, especially in semana santa

  3. Well off, it will still consist of a lot of black beans, rice, bread, tortillas, and seafood. It's just popular, national food. Having money means a lot better meat and veggies. A lot more often. But poor rural - on the coast it will be whatever you catch from the sea + farm animals. More rural it will be goat meat, pork, chicken, and rarely beef and less fish, conch, etc.

A lot of fruits. Mango, papaya, pineapple, guava, banana, oranges, grapefruit...all those grow without any attention needed.

  4. Like for breackfast it will be coffe and eggs with beans tortillas and plantains. You will also have the samething for dinner. But you may add cheese and cream (mantequilla)

For lunch rice and beans and maybe chicken or pork and tortillas. Almost every poor house has at least chickens, so they constantly eat eggs. They also have planted a plantain tree, so this is a constant meal. Coffee is a must. At least three cups of coffee per day with sweet bread

And yes on the coast its fish and yuca and plantains. In the coast there is not much tortillas, instead of corn they use the yuca, they make casabe.
