  1. 25,000 mph

  2. Theres turds orbiting the earth right now so id say about the same speed you need to launch S**t of a shovel

  3. Depends on its height.

  4. Do you mean speed relative to Earth?  At 0.88 km/s (1971 miles per hour), a spacecraft could still orbit Earth at the lunar "L2" point.  It would take 29.5 days to orbit the Earth.  Then there are the solar Lagrangian points, where the speed relative to Earth is *zero*.  The spacecraft just seems to hover out there, always the same angle from the sun.

  5. Spacecraft need to travel at warp speed to cross the galaxies in order to reach the earth.

  6. there are three variables:

    1. Mass of spacecraft

    2. Height of orbit

    3. Speed of spacecraft

given any 2 of these the third is fixed.

The higher the orbit the less speed you need.

I believe that any speed over 11km/s will lead to the space craft 'escaping' from earths influence.

  7. IIRC, it's 17,500mph.
