What % mixture of fuel should i use for drag racing? methanol ethanol gasoline?

what class are you running? what do the rules allow? is this a street car most of the time or just a toy for weekend racing?

i would not mix ethanol and methanol in any case. as for gasoline and methanol, i wouldnt use that combination either.

for a daily driver that sees time on the track i would use a 50/50 mix of gasoline and ethanol at the track, remember to jet accordingly to prevent a lean fuel mixture.

if you are running a strip only car, and the rules allow it, i would use 100% methanol as that is where you will get your best power as long as you tune the engine properly.

how high of compression.  What kind of gasoline, 91 octane?  What is the outside temperature?  What altitude?  What kind of engine AFR/ECU?  Fuel injected? To many variables.

I use 91 Octane on 11.5 to 1.

Assuming carbueration, double the size of the metering jets, install a high capacity fuel pump & filter, re-do the fuel system to be completely hard lines and run 100% ethanol. You will make twice as much power, but you will consume twice as much fuel. Also be sure your pump can keep pressure to the engine AND the fuel return line under flow conditions.

Ethanol and methanol will help with octane, but will hurt your fuel economy and the amount of fuel that can be put in one cylinder.

Use toluene from paint shops to boost octane. Very high octane! 20% in your gas tank would do wonders.

Nitromethane would help you get more fuel per cylinder.
