  1. ModgePodge is often used for this.

  2. oooo i think i no your question like sticking a picture/object underneith a glass table or something so they scrat at it?

well you need a strong runny glue i've dun this on a window befor it is funny just get a ur object that u want 2 stick, go around the edges with strip of glue and stick it if your glue isn't strong enuf use super glue because that is awesome and u only need a blob of it in the middle

most glues dry transperent you no if they come out white they will go see threw :)

  3. You'll want to either "decoupage" your photos on (using a medium sold for decoupaging like Royal Coat or ModPodge from a craft store, or make the same stuff yourself at home with permanent white glue thinned 3 or 4 to one with water), or you'll want to embed them under a 2-part epoxy resin (also called bartop resin)--that will give a very thick coat of clear resin with just one coat (just one "pour" actually) compared to having to use many coats of the diluted white glue (note that this is different from polyester "casting" resin, also sold in two parts).

Btw, the thicker the photos/etc are, the more coats you'll need to use when decoupaging to fill in and even out the areas between the cards or any overlaps.

You can read more about decoupaging from this page at my site:

(...click on *Decoupage* under "Misc. Uses for All Glues")

And you can read about using 2-part epoxy resins for things like this from here:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=epoxy+res...

(if you want to do a large area of desktop/etc., it can be cheaper to buy the epoxy resin from a hardware store instead of a craft/hobby store... Glaze Coat by Famowood is one brand)

  4. You can buy a product called Kraft Kote at hardware and home improvement stores.  It's a little bit expensive but will seal in your pictures.
