Is it better to sign up to a mobile deal over there? Or try to use calling cards on your UK mobile?

Does 3 mobile internet really work and is it worth it?

  1. The major Canadian mobile service providers are Telus, Bell, and Rogers.  There are no American providers such as Verizon or T-mobile operating in Canada.

  2. I'd use calling cards, a 20$ calling card, the UK is like 3.5 cents a min..so  thats like 600 mins.

but thats from a land line....

the cheapest way would be to buy a cheap cell phone on prepaid virgin mobile ( 40$) and just use calling cards..

but how long are you here

becuase plans are like 3 years, and if u want a 30day plan the phone will be $$$$.

  3. T-Mobile, Virgin, Verizon, Bell Mobility, Rogers, you can google Mobile phone service in Canada and that should give you a good list to go by.  Why not check the UK prices and then check the Canada prices via google that will give you all the information that you need to make a well informed decision.
