Anything that pollutes the enviorment that isnt a nessecity like cars; all the other animals in the world walk for miles every day, and some people would drive a car to a store thats about 5 min. away if you walk. I also agree with the gun person, fighting with swords is so much cooler.

if it sells, and is not hazardous, it should have been invented.

If it does not sell, I don't know about it.

If it is hazardous, you should stop smoking or abusing it.

As for effects on the environment--that's a tough one.  I'd say the ccloths dryer--they use a lot of energy-, cost a lot-and frankly, don't do anything but eliminate the effort of hanging cloths on a line.  Really not a good trade-off.  Now, its gotten to the point where neighbors are apt to complain if you hang cloths out in your own backyard.
