What moments make you feel blessed?

I just peeked in the living room and my husband is sound asleep in the recliner with Noah laying on top of chest, asleep too. Things like this just melt my heart! I'd take a picture but last time I did that it woke both of them up. :)

What are some of your favorite moments?

  1. Aww, sniffles made me cry.

I love watching my 7 mo old sleep. She just looks so at peace you know. She is just so beautiful and I love her so much.

  2. when after a terrible day with a 2yr old going through 'terrible two's at a moment when im just about to pull my hair out..

my newborn looks at me after like the 7th spew that had caught my freshly washed hair and smiles a gummy , spew filled smile

dont know why but it makes me melt...in some weird twisted way  LOL

  3. when I would watch my daughter nurse. I just loved it, she looked so sweet and slightly stuck up. :)

  4. snuggling on the bed in the morning before I get my youngest dressed. He is a little cuddle-bug and gives me toddler kisses that just make me melt.

hearing the same child, who is speech delayed, tell me "Mommy...I miss you all night long" when I come back from an evening meeting.

  5. My daughter is 8 months and can't sit still!  For the last month or so she is too busy exploring to even notice that I exist.  This morning she was fussing at 4am and I went to see what was wrong.  She stood up, gave me a HUGE hug, a sloppy baby kiss and went back to bed.  It made me so happy, I was feeling neglected.  It is hard to watch your baby become so independent.

  6. The day my husband had to leave because he was being deployed, our daughter and I were helping Daddy pack any last minute things. And of course, I was taking pictures like crazy. Right before we were about to head out the door, my daughter (who was 18 months at the time) grabbed my husbands Army hat, and refused to give it back. It was like she knew he wore it when he stepped outside, and this was her way of keeping him home.

I have an awesome (but heartbreaking) picture of her wearing the hat backwards, so you can see our last name etched on the back. Every time I look at the picture, it reminds to treasure all the time I have with her, because some (like her amazing father) don't get that opportunity.

Okay, I've just gotten myself upset.....LOL

  7. When my baby is starting up a fuss, and my 6-year old steps in to stop it by dancing and singing for him.  Never fails to turn baby's grumpiness into peals of laughter, and my heart into mush.

  8. I agree with you, sleeping baby is one of my favorites. But also, smiling baby, laughing baby, and hugging baby come close.

  9. i was told i could never have children   due to a cancer operation i had      gone through  my husband had just come back from  basic training   and he walked in the door in his uniform and i told him he was going to be a daddy  and in his uniform this 230lb macho army man cried tears of joy   7 mo. later christina joy came into our life and became daddys little girl

  10. When my 10-month old laughs out loud as hard as he can....at ME!!!! Of all people, he laughs at ME!  It makes me almost cry. :)  I love to make all kinds of silly noises and made-up songs/jingles to dance and sing to. Each day with my son gets better and better and better....!!!!

  11. That is beautiful , I wish someday I could experience a moment like that

  12. My favourite moments would definitely have to be in the mornings when me and Brady are the only ones up before my fiance and older daughter. He's the happiest in the mornings and we can sit down together and he will laugh his butt off over the simplest things. Its so cute.

  13. The quiet moments...when she and I are just being together. There is nothing like rocking a baby to sleep and having her smile back at you before she drifts off. I know it won't always be this way...or this easy...and I treasure every cuddle.

Every time she learns or does something new, I feel blessed. The fact that she is here, healthy, and normal as can be is just wonderful. I realize that not everyone is so lucky, and I count my blessings daily.

And, like your husband, mine is also a wonderful parent. She is attached to his hip when they're together, and I'm so thankful that I have someone who plays an equal role in this journey.

  14. I have three young ones.  Ages 3, 2 and 1.  The baby is finally getting good at walking.  They were playing in my daughters room and I heard lots of laughter and cheering.  I peeked in the room and the older two were standing on opposite sides of the room.  They were encouraging Brayden to walk back and forth between them.  When he'd reach one of them, they'd clap and cheer and tell him he was a big boy.  If he fell down, they'd run to him and help him back up.  It was the sweetest thing I've ever see (as well as funny).  I hope they are always willing to help each other out and encourage one another like that when they are older.

  15. i caught my husband playing with olivia and kissing her little head the other day....it made me melt too! it so wonderful to see how good of a father my husband is..

  16. I know I sound cliche, but when I can feel my little angel moving around inside me. I can't wait to meet her and I love her more than anything:)

  17. Those are my favorite moments also! I love when they fall asleep together on the couch! Ian used to be on Aaron's chest snoozing all the time...now I peek in the LR and they're both sitting up sleeping on the couch lol :) I also love when my husband comes home from work and Ian crawls (or runs in his walker) to the door shouting 'dadadada' all excitedly! It makes being a stay at home mom all worth while.
