What monetary unit does France use now? Is it the Euro?

Anyone from France here? I am thinking it is the Euro but I would like positive confirmation please.

                          Sweden  and  Denmark


  2. Yeah, it's the Euro.  Like everyplace else in Europe with the exception of Switzerland and UK.  

    And the Euro is exactly $1.481 US.  Right now.  So...not cheap in Europe any more.

Indeed this is the Euro in almost the entire French Republic... except in few territory overseas like French Polynesia (Tahiti and the hundred islands around)  New Caledonia,... which use the "Polynesian Franc". The Polynesia Franc is fixed compared to the Euro ( 1 XPF = 0.00838 euro or 1 euro = 119 "XFP")

  5. france uses the Euro, as well as spain italy belgium portugal and other nearby european countries. france used to use the Frank.
