  1. December and January, because that is our summer

  2. Australian students have the summer holidays during summer.  Exact dates vary depending on which state you live in, but around 20 December until the end of January.

  3. The holidays usually start a few days before Christmas and last for six weeks.(In Australia)

  4. http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/calendar/?...

private schools get substantially more holidays than public. at least 1 extra week every holiday.

at my private school we get approx 8 weeks for summer holidays =)

  5. Christmas time... We dont call it summer holidays, we call it Christmas holidays.. Because we're cool like that :)

School holidays are.. Late December - Late January..

School kids here have holidays during the year as well, after every 10 weeks of school, they get a 2 week break.

  6. the countries belonging to the southern hemisphere usually have their summer vacation from December to January. classes starts by February.

  7. Australian school students have their summer holidays from about a week before Christmas (sometimes two, depending on what state they are from) to about the end of January or the first week of February.  They then generally have two weeks around Easter/March/April, another two weeks around late June/early July and another two weeks around late September/early October.

Uni students have a similar break over summer - maybe a few weeks longer, so they probably have three or even four months off, then they generally go to uni for one semester and have four weeks off, then another semester.
