  1. Technically, as defined by the tilt of the Earth, the seasons are defined as follows:

    Spring: March 21-June 21

    Summer: June 21-September 21

    Fall: September 21-December 21

    Winter: December 21-March 21

However, meteorologists often break down the months slightly differently, based on the sensible weather and temperature patterns in the mid-latitudes.  The meteorological seasons are usually defined as:

    Spring: March, April, May

    Summer: June, July, August

    Fall: September, October, November

    Winter: December, January, February

  2. Since the last post conveniently leaves out 4 months of the year...

    Northern Hemisphere

    Spring: March, April, May

    Summer: June, July, August

    Autumn: September, October, November

    Winter: December, January, February

    Southern Hemisphere

    (Reverse of Northern Hemisphere)

Note that, due to the fact that we use the insanity known as the Gregorian calendar, this is not an exact list by any means, and totally depends on where you are.

  3. fall-september-november

    winter-december-febury

    summer-june-augest

  4. Spring: some of March, all of April, all of May, and some of June

Summer: some of June, all of July, all of August, and some of September

Fall/Autumn: some of September, all of October, all of November, some of December

Winter: some of December, all of January, all of February, and some of March
