What motivates people to donate to chairty?

I enjoy charitable giving.  I'm motivated by compassion.  If there are people who need something and I have the means to facilitate that need, I give.  I also enjoy donating my time and my money to my church.  I do this because I believe what we stand for is worthy.  The church is there to help people come to the Lord and to stay with Him.  Its a place of sharing and a place of friendship.

We usually pick an organization that has special meaning.  Perhaps a loved one suffers from cancer, so cancer research becomes special.

Your upbringing also has an influence.  If your parents were caring and giving people, you will be the same.
